Dr. Todd Pesek, I am a student at Cleveland State and i stumbled upon your site. I registered your name and realized your the other of the book I am reading for Healthcare and Culture. After reading your home page and Out in the cold with ya!, it really got me thinking about my life. I am 20 years old, but looking back at my childhood i used to love going outside and listening to nature for hours. I also used to walk everywhere without a care in the world. Sadly I agree that technology is consuming this generation. Now I feel as though i don't have time to be one with nature, and enjoy its' soothing effect. being a student I hate that I get caught up with work, school and social activities. I hope that i can get back outside and enjoy what has been here the whole time. Your posts are very interesting to read!

I love taking walks in the winter time. Something about the cold brisk air against your skin makes you feel alive. The blanket of snow that surrounds you as you walk blocks out all the sounds of any nearby city and washes away the dirt and muck of traffic snow sludge. Absolutely peaceful!

Dr. Pesek,
I did your homework and bundled up and went out into the cold :) I loved it. Usually the only time I spend outside in the winter is when I'm snowboarding or going to/from my car. I took my dog out in the backyard and plopped down in the snow. It seems very peaceful when there is a blanket of snow covering everything. It's almost as if everything seems quieter. Anyways, very enjoyable experience, and I am going to try to do this at least once a week :)

Hi Dr.Todd, My name is Denise. I really love your articles the Organic Spa magazines. I like how you dicuss issues in an easy to understand way. I am an Esthetian and have a very small spa area in my home and only have a few clients and I love what I do. Just recently I have become a vegetarian and try to buy organic food. I have been working on going raw. I have to work several jobs and I am 53 years old. The reason I have been trying to change eating habits because of taking on extra work I am really tired all the time. I was drinking lots of Diet Coke to keep going. I have been drinking lots of diet coke for years. 10 weeks ago I quit cold turkey. Now I drink hot tea instead. The pop and sugary sweets were really getting to me. My mood swings are also a little out of control. I do not know much about herbs and oils. by reading your articles I am learning. I would really like to try Maca. It sounds just like something I could use. What form does Maca come in. And what amount would you recomend for a new commer to this new healing from the inside out. Wow I also printed out a copy of OUT IN THE COLD WITH YA!I love the beautiful pictures. I love nature and walking my dogs enjoyig the beauty of the earth. Peace and Love, Denise
