Dr. Pesek:

I am delighted to have stumbled upon this blog. The topics we have delved into over the last couple of weeks have been the most interesting and personally enlightening for me.

Yesterday I viewed Al Gore's, "An Inconvenient Truth" and I could not have done so at a more appropriate time. I believe it should be required reading for all persons and each and every student in U.S. schools.

When I am done with this week's assignment I will persue this blog more carefully.

Thank you.

Hi Dr Pesek, what an enlightening and informative blog. I am a student in your HSC course at CSU,fall 2009-and I appreciate your studies and knowledge concerning herbal medicine and traditions. I feel the Americas' would be a better place had we followed the traditions of Native American peoples and the world a better place if the rainforest were still protected. I agree with the comment you made- "no health without environmental health. Human wellness is inextricably linked to the environment in ways traditional cultures have understood for generations.." I have spent time in Alaska and Costa Rica and to see the waterways and rain forests destroyed instead of being utilized for the vast resources that could ultimately save humankind
